MALDIVES

There are no longer any COVID‑19 entry restrictions for travel to Maldives. Passengers are no longer required to have a COVID 19 vaccination certificate or a COVID 19 test result to enter the country. Quarantine restrictions have also been lifted.
Complete the online Traveller Declaration Form(Opens an external website in a new tab) within 72 hours before arrival in the Maldives. Obtain a QR code and present it to the Immigration Officer on arrival.
Passengers travelling to the Maldives as tourists must have a confirmed hotel reservation for their stay at registered tourist facilities.
INDONESIA:
COVID-19 testing requirements
Pre departure COVID 19 RT PCR testing is no longer required for travel to Indonesia. Indonesian and foreign nationals must be fully vaccinated to be accepted for travel. Partially or unvaccinated Indonesian nationals and foreign nationals will be accepted for travel without a negative COVID 19 RT PCR test certificate but will be subject to RT PCR testing and quarantine on arrival. A mandatory 5 day hotel booking is required.
Passengers who have been infected with COVID 19 and have a medical recovery certificate are not required to present a COVID 19 vaccination certificate or pre departure RT PCR test certificate. The certificate must be issued by an authorised health agency and clearly state that the passenger is no longer infectious.
Passengers who present COVID 19 symptoms on arrival in Bali and Jakarta might be subject to RT PCR testing at the airport. All passengers, except Indonesian citizens, who are requested to take an on arrival RT PCR test must pay the IDR 275,000 fee.
Vaccination requirements
All foreign nationals must present a printed or digital COVID‑19 vaccine certificate confirming that they have been fully vaccinated 14 days before departure. If the certificate is not in English, English translation must be provided.
Unvaccinated or partially vaccinated Indonesian nationals and foreign nationals can be accepted for travel to Indonesia but must undergo a 5 day quarantine on arrival. RT‑PCR testing will be conducted on arrival and/or at the quarantine facility. Passengers must have a confirmed hotel booking.
Foreign nationals between 6 and 17 years old who have a Limited Stay Permit (ITAS), Permanent Stay Permit (ITAP), Diplomatic Stay Permit and Official Stay Permit may undergo vaccination in Indonesia
Exemptions to presenting a COVID‑19 vaccine certificate apply to:
- Passengers below 18 years old
- Foreigners holding diplomatic and official visas relating to official state visits at ministerial level or above
- Foreigners who cannot be vaccinated due to medical conditions and who are travelling on international or domestic flight must present a doctor/specialist’s statement from a government hospital that they are unfit for COVID 19 vaccination
Indonesia recognizes all COVID 19 vaccines, as long as the vaccine is approved by the country in which it has been administered.
Required documents
All passengers must download the PeduliLindungi App(Opens an external website in a new tab) and fill the required data.
Passengers arriving in Denpasar Bali must also complete the electronic Customs Declaration(Opens an external website in a new tab) (eCD).
Quarantine
Fully vaccinated passengers are not required to quarantine on arrival in Indonesia.
Unvaccinated or partially vaccinated Indonesian nationals and foreign nationals must book a hotel for a mandatory 5 day quarantine, take an RT‑PCR test on arrival and/or take a second RT PCR test on day 4 of quarantine. If the result of the second RT PCR test is negative, they can continue on their journey.
Children below 18 years old who require special attention must follow the quarantine rules that apply to their adult companion.
Passengers who can’t be vaccinated due to a medical condition must present an official medical certificate. Passengers under this category will not be required to quarantine.
Partially vaccinated or non-vaccinated Indonesian overseas workers, Indonesian students, Indonesian citizens representing Indonesia in International events/championships and Indonesian government employees returning from overseas duty must arrive in Jakarta, Surabaya or Manado and undergo quarantine at a dedicated facility. COVID‑19 RT-PCR testing and quarantine for these passengers will be paid for by the government, while all other categories of Indonesian citizen must book a hotel for a period of required quarantine.
Quarantine exemptions
Unvaccinated or partially vaccinated Indonesian nationals may be exempt from quarantine in an emergency, such as a health condition affecting life, requiring special attention or a direct family member passed away. Requests for exemption must be submitted to the National Task Force at least 3 days before arrival.
