Hi Candice and True Blue Surf & Island Travel,

The trip was great!!! Both families had an absolute ball.

I had previously said that I wouldn’t go back to Mauritius (always having stayed in the north) but will now definitely go back – only if I stay in the south. It really is beautiful, unspoiled and untouched.

The Tam Hotel & Spa was just right and I would recommend staying there. I seriously could not find a single fault. It’s a really good place to stay.

The surf was so-so. There was plenty of swell but the SE Trade blew relentlessly, all day and all night!!!! It seems that the right time for the South is September – Feb’ish – their summer. However, Tom (my 13 y/o son) and I surfed The Island  just about every day, twice a day. It is the weirdest break but we had some good waves, mostly to ourselves with a couple of locals. The locals are also really cool – they paddle up to you and shake your hand to say hello. So all in all, even though the surf was so-so, we really had a lot of fun and Tom is dying to go back!!!

Thank you also Candice for all of your efforts. This whole thing was really last minute and panic’d and you pulled it all through without a single hitch – Well Done! I’ll definitely be using True Blue again.
