Greg Bertish helped found True Blue Surf & Adventure Travel in 1998.

Greg & his brothers Conn & Chris were brought up in and on the water in Cape Town, South Africa! Sailing, water-skiing, surfing, windsurfing and kayaking down rivers with their Dad (Keith) from the age’s of 5 years old.

The Bertish Brothers have become synonymous with ocean sports and travel around SA and the globe. Representing and excelling in lifesaving, snowboarding, surfing and SUP, the boys traveled the globe, made many friends & contacts and earned a reputation in big surf.

Greg has re taken over True Blue, and with input and support from his brothers is launching it into a new era.
Derrick & Copia head up the finances. Cara Fowler manages Operations & groups, while Candice Giloi, Debi Coulsen & Sue VT are our experienced consultants, with Letitia Saffier handling all admin & client liaison. Together they have more than 25 years combined experience and dedication to True Blue & are the MOST experienced & dedicated Surf & Island consultants in the world!

Before True Blue; Greg, studied business management and then ran his own Street and Beach Vending business throughout the nineties.
“Being very seasonal, this allowed me to travel for 2 to 3 months a year. I explored the world during my twenties, and was lucky enough to surf and explore countries from Namibia and Mozambique, to Australia and Indo, to America and Mexico, to Spain and France. I then brought these experiences and the knowledge gained to True Blue. My passion for this business is built on the pure stoke of surfing and adventure.

My aim is to offer these amazing places, experiences, adventures and surf spots that I and the True Blue Team have found, experienced, developed and explored, to our clients. We want to BLOW YOU AWAY, with our service, knowledge and delivery of AWESOME surf and adventure holidays, to the amazing places we all dream of.”

Primarily True Blue started as the FIRST Surf Travel Company in Africa, with niche surfer clients and surf destinations such as Indonesia and the Maldives. Over the past five years, True Blue has also focused on growing the brand, destinations, client base & service levels, to offer unique Island holidays for families, honeymooners, kite boarders and travelers looking for a holiday with a difference and a bit of Magic.
