The Kaleta Hotel is situated close to town and only a short stroll to the markets, nice restaurants and the main disco. This hotel is a definate option for someone who wants a "little bit more" than the usual Madagascan basic accommodation.
It is considered the classiest hotel in town and although it's only a three star, it does offer all facilities.
It boasts about 80 rooms on 3 floors, all with TV and aircon - seaview option available as well.
Although the hotel does overlook a beach, the best swimming beach at Libonana is a good 30 minute walk or 7 minute taxi ride.
The closest surf spot is at the Point Break, 15 minute walk or a 4 minute taxi away and other waves at D and A Bar being 10 minutes by taxi. Venom Bay is approximately 30 minutes by taxi.
