Note: YOU CANNOT TRAVEL WITH SURFBOARD BAGS OVER 8' ON THIS TOUR AS THE DOMESTIC FLIGHTS CANNOT ACCOMMODATE THEM.

You will arrive into Male and same night connect with an Island aviation flight to the far south, where the 90' Southern Charter and friendly crew will be waiting to greet you. Overnight anchorage near the airport island then early the following morning commence your adventure of a lifetime.

Due to the success of the LIMITED EDITION "Multi atoll trips" in 2008 involving Seenu and Gaafu Dhaal atolls, Southern Charter will continue this route.

The costs involved are slightly more than doing the more mainstream charters, however the experience of pioneering this new territory in total solitude is hard to put a price on.

Historic data shows that there are really only 3 PEAK SURF MONTHS in this region being FEBRUARY, MARCH AND APRIL.
Charters are 13 nights and you will acheive maximum surf-time due to our VERY experienced guides.

Hakoo is the Maldivian guide onboard Southern Charter and has been surfing this region for the years. Hakoo has been the guide on Southern Charter for 2 years now and has been taught his trade by former guide. He is originally from Seenu atoll (Gan) in the far south. Igay is the skipper of Southern Charter and has very good surf knowledge. Igay has been Southern Charter's skipper from Day 1 and has vast experience in dealing with western surfers. With the expertise of Hakoo and Igay maximum surf-time is assured!

Southern Charter's sister boat, Handhu-Fahli will also operate in Gaafu Dhaal atoll during this period and both boats/guides will be in constant touch with each other regarding the surf and co-ordinating so they will be surfing different breaks, (many breaks work simultaneously) rather than all together.

Southern Charter is 90' and very well layed with air conditoned twin cabins with ensuites, air conditioned saloon and lounge and Outside, the deck space is massive with a large undercover Alfresco lounge/dining area capable of seating at least 15 people. This is the favourite dining area as it allows guests to escape the hot Maldivian sun, yet still remain outdoors capturing cool ocean breezes whilst watching the surf break nearby.

These southern atoll trips call for a more experienced surfer as the waves are rather gnarly. Not recommended for any non surfing partners! This is a hardcore boys trip!
