This unique style eco-village is situated right on the beach and it is here that one will drift off into peaceful slumber with dolphin experiences guiding you into dream-time with the gentle ocean rhythm beckoning you.
Magical and quaint the Dolphin Beachcamp has direct access to the beach where early mornings are spent watching magnificent golden sunrises searching for dolphins and sussing out the waves and wind.
Rustically constructed out of reed and wood, wind-chimes and hammocks adorn this little island style paradise that has been decorated encompassing a dolphin theme.
A wonder for kids, taking them into an space of nature, Robinson Cruso style...no tv?s, no play station or computer games. Just the beach, the dolphins and you.
Stylish ablution facilities are within, have hot water showers and are serviced regularly.
Meals are served at the camp, either on the beach or in the main area and are prepared fresh by our resident chefs.
A small "Trust Bar" is on site for your convenience, selling local cool drinks, water and beer. Please bring along spirits and fancy potions!
The Dolphin Research Centre is on site and houses an impressive number of interesting and informative dolphin and marine related books, scientific publications and visual productions that have been collected and donated over the years.
Casitas come with linen and mosquito nets, wood casitas come with the addition of plug points and fans.
ROBINSON CRUSOE DOLPHIN BEACH - activities
A number of swim programs are available that cater for families, individuals, the holistically minded and researchers. Special needs tours can be arranged on request catering for the physically and mentally challenged. Most programmes are 3 or 4 nights or can be custom made for groups. Guests are transferred from the border to the camp where they will be checked in. A snorkelling orientation course will be presented that afternoon with tips on swimming conduct and a dolphin behaviour presentation. The following day, the fun begins with an early rise for a 6am start. the dolphin launch lasts 2 hours and thereafter brunch is served back at the camp. Another presentation about the dolphins will then take place with more info from the dolphon researchers. Relax for the afternoon and prepare for the following day's launch. The second day also includes a 2 hour dolphin launch with brunch and then the dvd presentation of your dolphin launch experience. Enjoy the rest of your stay at leisure. If you would like to extend your stay a few days after the dolphin programmes, please let us know so we can book additional nights for you.Surfing
