An old pirates lair during the XVI century, Ile Saint Marie is one of the up and coming tourist destinations in Madagascar. Located off the East coast of Madagascar, the island is only 60 km in length and 2 to 5 km’s wide. An old den of pirates and royal dynasties with a past filled with history and poetry, there is so much to discover on this beautiful untouched island.
On the island of Saint Marie near the end of the XVI century, famous pirates hid and settled themselves on the island and prepared for attack on ships filled with spices and treasures from the Indies.
